COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SURVEY

In 2020 we are once again looking to work with both local and national LGBTQIA+ organisations, and with our local community to seek out ideas, advice and volunteers to contribute to this year’s PRIDE campaign.

We are seeking individuals, organisations, businesses, groups and charities to contribute to the day - and to our partner events - by volunteering their time, skills and services, as well as suggesting or nominating activities, performers, speakers and/or events.

We encourage all members to contribute, although we will give priority to LGBTQIA+ causes and members of the queer community.

We appreciate you taking the time to fill out any parts of the form below that might be of relevance (but please feel free to leave blank any segments that do not connect with you, or you don’t feel compelled to respond to).

Is there anything or anyone in particular you feel may not be accurately represented at Pride? Are there any activities, organisations or events you feel have been missing from previous years?

Do you have LGBTQI related information you think we should be promoting on our stalls? Do you have you links with local LGBTQI organisations or with organisations that wish to build a greater connection with the LGBTQIA+ community?

The official March will take place on the afternoon of June 20. We would like to hear any thoughts, ideas, cares or concerns you have regarding the Pride Protest March.

PRIDE AFTERPARTY: A CELEBRATION OF QUEER CULTURE AND COMMUNITY

Are you a queer performer, speaker, activist or entertainer, or do you have suggestions for what/who you would like to see at our afterparty? We will also be looking for local queer entertainers for the Marketplace.

Whether you have ideas for the main event or for a workshop or event leading up to Pride we would like to hear them.

Do you have a local business that can contribute to the community efforts? Can you offer sponsorship, locations or venues, or can your business in any way interact with Pride to help us make this event as open and inclusive to our local community as possible?

VOLUNTEERS

CAN YOU VOLUNTEER ON THE DAY OR IN THE LEAD UP TO PRIDE? We always need help with setting up, organising, safety and security, stewarding, decorating, fundraising, donating equipment, time and energy… please let us know if you can help out with anything. WE ARE AN ENTIRELY VOLUNTEER-RUN EVENT AND CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT YOUR HELP! ANY TIME OR ENERGY YOU CAN DONATE IS GRATEFULLY RECEIVED!
